Rolling Initiative on Sexual Health & Reproductive Justice.
Dungeons & DragThings is one of Planned Parenthood NLSHC's yearly fundraisers created by our fund development coordinator, Perin Squires.
Sexual health, Reproductive Justice, as well as queer health, has unfortunately always been a difficult area to garner funding, and even in 2026 it has grown even more difficult as funding opportunities disappear, but the need for support grows.
However, the one thing that remains consistent is our wonderful community's ability to show up for each other and create moments of joy and resilience even in the face of oppression.
That is where Dungeons & DragThings comes in. It combines our collective love for Drag, nerdy games, and collective story-telling for a night of fun and community heroics that remind us that together we are unstoppable, and the best team is Team Best Friends.
Plus we think fundraisers can be... well, fun!
The show will be both in-person and livestreamed, so you can help save the day even from the comfort of your own couch.

This show features a lot of local Newfoundland talent who are kind enough to share their brilliance with us, and we are forever grateful!
Played in the style of a D&D live-play on the beautiful (and accessible) LSPU Hall stage, local Dungeon/Game Master and Director of Spectrum Queer Choir, Alice Hietala, leads local non-binary Drag troupe The Phlegm Fatales (Irma Gerd, /Garbagefile, Eda Kumquat, Liezel Hues, and Madam Daddy) through an improvised story of not just campy hilarity and hijinks, but of self-discovery, found family, and queer joy.
The show is also hosted by local comedian, film-maker, and D&D enthusiast Mike Fardy and live improvised music for the adventure is provided by local musician and improviser Julien Bouchard.
On the back (and sometimes front) of the stage we also have Amanda Klein, Loo Vatcher, and Kari Esparza Sosa as stage managers, stage hands, and sometimes giant cosmic noses full of magical boogers (you had to be there).
This year we will also be featuring the talented MK Morris who is known for their film-chops and improvisation finesse!
