We rely on community donations to fund many of our programs. Here's how far your donations can go:
  • $10 pays for a pregnancy test and options counseling
  • $20 pays for a months worth of Oral Birth Control
  • $25 pays for a short educational Tiktok or Social Media Post
  • $25 buys 100 needles/syringes for HRT injections or Safe Need Exchange
  • $25 buys 100 pads/tampons
  • $30 pays for 100 condoms​ 
  • $40 pays for 100 flavoured condoms
  • $40 covers an phone appointment for someone without access to health insurance
  • $50 pays for one month of our informational website
  • $75 buys snacks for one Harm Reduction Saturday
  • $100 covers one week of rent  
  • $150 pays for an educational outreach session
  • $250 covers a meeting of our 2SLGBTQIA+ group
  • $250 covers the staff/volunteer and supply cost of one half day clinic
  • $420 pays one months rent 
  • $500 pays for a week for phone/staff costs to answer our No Myths and Booking Phone Line
  • $500 sends a youth to Camp Eclipse
  • $650 provides a week of support on our 2SLGBTQIA+ Warm Line

Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of the non-profit community here at Planned Parenthood-NLSHC. Your vital contribution will help make it possible for us to run our programs, clinic, Camp Eclipse, education programs, youth groups and provide the much needed support to individuals in our community.
 
We have a skilled and committed staff team who are ready and willing to engage you in discovering the best volunteer role for you. We have a variety of interesting options and opportunities available.

What are the benefits of being a member?

Membership costs $25 annually, or $10 for students, but is waived for monthly donors of $10 or more.

​Our sexual health clinics operate on an appointment-only basis. However, pregnancy tests and peer support sessions are walk-in based. 

Winter Closures: If schools in the metro region close, we close. Check www.nlesd.ca or listen to your local radio for an update. ​
